Beverage Profits- Figuring It Out

Profits, after all this is one of the most important end results of your beverage offering. We'll first look at this simple fountain beverage profit formula, this is a good start for most who aren't familiar calculating fountain profits.

One Coca-Cola 5 Gallon Bag In Box Syrup equals:

 

Approximately 3,680 finished ounce of Coca-Cola (@ 4.75:1 ratio)

Use this formula to understand your cost per ounce, Cost of BIB box divided by 3,860= Cost per ounce

Example- $80 BIB cost divided by 3,860 finished ounces= 2.2 cents per ounce. 

Diet Coke has a different ratio than Coca-Cola with syrup to water @ 5.25 to 1 this allows 4000 ounces of finished ounces.

 

One Diet Coca-Cola 5 Gallon Bag In Box Syrup equals 

Approximately 4,000 finished ounce of Coca-Cola (@ 5.25:1 ratio)

Use this formula to understand your cost per ounce, Cost of BIB box divided by 3,860= Cost per ounce

Example- $80 BIB cost divided by 4,000 finished ounces= 2.0 cents per ounce.
